Man, I forget how much great music there has been in this decade…up to about 2006.

After that, the whole industry went to shit with emo and pop-hop ruling the charts.

I would never have thought, when rap was basically a local New York thing in the early 80s, that it would spread beyond those confines out to the world at large to this extent.

And not only that, somehow, people take it, reinterpret it, and make it their own. I’ve heard great Israeli and Palestinian rap. You’ve got DubFX in Australia. Dozens of UK artists. And here in this video we have the best song of that year coming from Canada.

    It’s insane. It’s awesome.

i’ve been reading comments on k-os’s songs… and your opinion is no different than everyone else’s… i grew up hating rap/hip-hop/etc. but now i see k-os and i love his style.

The new album Yes! is really good. Very far away from the rest of his stuff. It’s like K-os is his own genre.
