Originals B-Boy Dedication w/ Davy DMX – One For The Treble

6 June 2010 by , 25 Comments

I’ve been wanting to put this one together for a long time. It was compiled of clips from “Freshest Kids Documentary (Thank You QD3!), Wild Style, Beat Street, and several Old School music videos I was able to gather up. Backed up by the classic hard hittin’ joint from ’84 “Davy DMX – One for the Treble”. Even though “Poppin’ & Lockin’” and “B-Boying” are considered to be seperate I’m a fan of it all so you’ll see both represented in there. Peace to ALL the originals.

Now this is old school hip hop right here, and after a quarter century, this still sounds fresh, vintage 80′s hip hop, no doubt!!

It’s amazing this still sounds so fresh today, over 3 decades later – just goes to show what sort of state the current music scene is in!

I bet this tune is going to be stolen some day as well as other huge hits in the 70′s and 80′s. Probably by some rapper who makes it into a “song” about him being rich, bangin’ hoes and kicking everyone’s ***.

Old School breaking is better than new school. There are toooo many people who dont bring out soul or funk when they break.
