There is no difference. Of course there are people who don’t care because they were ignorant that the term is derogatory, because it’s easy to abbreviate Japanese into Jap. I’ve been a Marine for 6 years and racial slurs really dont phase us because we joke w/ each other but… if you were to call my Mom a Jap she would go apeshit. If you were to call my grandfather who went to Manzanar a Jap, he would shoot you. Neither of them were ever in the military.

It looked like Kaku didnt even give a shit that there was music playin. Not taking anything away from Kaku tho, he’s legit, but he woulda done the same set with Enya playing in the back. But seriously, bboyin is a dance and the music is the soul of that dance. You gotta dance what the MUSIC makes you feel, and I did not feel Kaku on this one. Neither did everybody else.

BboyTolil7 right under me said it perfectly. Besides Kaku doesn’t hit beats cuz he’s a power head and their moves are mainly about having a “difficult” factor. But stylers like Cloud (who is really good btw) DEPEND on the music and the beats. But it doesn’t really matter cuz it’s not easy to judge who “did better” during a bboy battle because no matter who wins, people will always have their own definition of what is good and what they like to see.
